What will you do
This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction for the service business in the local offices. Responsibilities include supervising , hiring, growth of technicians, developing business strategies, and implementing action plans to meet the districts objectives and drive profitable growth of the business, including embracing the company programs, identification of life safety deficiencies and recommendations. Meet with customers on site on a regular basis, meeting with technicians in the field on a regular basis for items such as safety checks. Work alongside and working to maintain and improve relationships between various other departments including schedulers, coordinators, sales, install, and inspections. Available with work phone to respond also after hours and weekends to emergency issues and provide solutions. The fire service supervisor covers technicians and offices for both our Phoenix and Tucson locations.
How you will do it
Revenue responsibility: Including implementing plans, programs and processes designed to meet and exceed corporate goals and objectives as well as maximizing market potential of the service business including new bookings (sales), revenue and profitability.
Customer Satisfaction: Responsible for maintaining effective customer communications along with building solid customer relationships from initial contact through order acquisition, delivery, installation and service. Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled while quickly resolving customer complaints concerning service and collection issues, thereby minimizing customer concerns and enhancing customer relations.
Productivity Improvement: Responsible for setting fair and manageable territories for technicians. Ensure that fair and effective performance measurements are assigned and that employees are motivated to achieve and/or exceed their assigned goals and objectives utilizing management tools and practices. Also responsible to be proficient at, perform as required and instruct/train all new and existing clerical and dispatch personnel in all specific job procedures including our CRM system.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all employees comply with corporate safety programs. Responsible to ensure that employee safety training id through, complete and up to date. Identify safety issues and hazards and notify corporate safety office of those conditions that require corrective action.
What we look for
Required:
- Demonstrate supervisory/leadership abilities to include training, team building, presentation and negotiation skills, district administration and effective interaction with customers.
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
- Available for local/regional travel, which may include nights and weekends to accommodate customers' schedule and district needs .
- Proficient analytical skills and adeptness with MS Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.
- Highly able to multitask and maintain organization. Able to work in an industry that requires a constant sense of urgency and prioritization.
- Ability to handle difficult personalities, situations, customers, employees in a professional manner to achieve best possible outcomes in various situations.
- Knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler material to assist in review of service orders.
- Ability to work with various city AHJs to pull permits and manage service projects.
- Knowledge of the fire protection industry that includes but is not limited to: fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, suppression systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of NFPA and related fire protection code requirements.
- Able to assist in service work and aid with last minute schedule changes due to various reasons.
- Have a valid driver's license and able to drive company vehicles.
Preferred:
- BA Degree
- NICET or other related Certifications
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $78,600. - $108,000. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
