Job Summary
Micron is seeking a highly motivated Gas and Chemical Storage Coordinator to support warehouse operations, inventory management, and outsourced service provider performance for chemical, gas, and raw material storage facilities. This role serves as the primary liaison between Facilities, Manufacturing, vendors, and internal customers to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable material handling while maintaining inventory accuracy and supply continuity. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, vendor coordination, audit readiness, customer service, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and innovation in support of Micron's core values and semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities :
- Lead warehouse operations with safety as the top priority, ensuring compliance with EHS requirements, OSHA regulations, DOT standards, dangerous goods handling requirements, and Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols.
- Foster a strong safety culture through training, audits, risk assessments, incident prevention initiatives, and proactive safety observations.
- Coordinate warehouse activities for chemicals, photoresists, gases, and other raw materials, including receiving, storage, transportation, issuance, and disposition.
- Manage outsourced vendor operations by coordinating daily priorities, staffing coverage, deliveries, system access, and support for customer requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and drive accountability for service levels, staffing commitments, training requirements, important metrics, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by resolving discrepancies, managing obsolete, excess, expired, and non-conforming materials, and supporting inventory control processes.
- Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and support internal and external inventory audit activities.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Facilities, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Control, EHS, Quality, and Finance teams to communicate risks, resolve operational issues, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the main resource for warehouse and inventory-related customer concerns.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, military, or industrial environments.
- 3+ years of experience in material handling, inventory control, receiving, shipping, warehouse operations, or supply chain functions in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Working knowledge of inventory management practices, material traceability, warehouse safety requirements, and operational processes.
- Experience applying ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or inventory management platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting semiconductor, chemical, gas, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials transportation, storage, and applicable regulatory requirements, including DOT, OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
- Experience leading teams responsible for chemical inventory accuracy, receiving, shipping, material traceability, and audit readiness.
- 2+ years of experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 6S, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational metrics, drive process improvements, strengthen safety culture, and support business and customer objectives.
