THE OPPORTUNITY
Rentyl Resorts is seeking a Corporate Director of Rooms to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the Rooms Division throughout our growing hospitality portfolio. This role serves as the corporate owner of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Concierge, and related guest-facing operations, ensuring consistent service delivery, operational excellence, and brand standards across multiple resort destinations.
More than a traditional operations leadership role, this position plays a critical part in shaping the guest experience across a diverse portfolio of branded resorts, vacation accommodations, and leisure destinations. The Corporate Director of Rooms partners directly with General Managers, property leadership teams, Human Resources, Finance, Revenue Management, IT, and Development teams to drive guest satisfaction, labor efficiency, operational effectiveness, and long-term talent development.
In addition, this leader serves as the organization's primary Rooms Division expert for resort openings, acquisitions, conversions, and rebranding initiatives, helping ensure successful transitions from development through stabilized operations.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Rooms Division Strategy & Operational Excellence
- Establish and maintain portfolio-wide Rooms Division standards, operating procedures, and service delivery models.
- Partner with General Managers and property Rooms leaders to achieve guest satisfaction, quality assurance, and loyalty program objectives.
- Evaluate occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor productivity, and guest experience metrics to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Conduct operational audits, calibration visits, and service reviews to ensure consistency across the portfolio.
- Drive best practices in departmental budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control.
- Develop service initiatives that elevate guest experience while supporting profitability goals.
Systems, Processes & Innovation
- Serve as the corporate subject matter expert for Property Management Systems (PMS), housekeeping technology, guest communication platforms, and emerging operational solutions.
- Lead implementation, upgrades, and optimization of Rooms Division systems throughout the portfolio.
- Identify industry trends, technology advancements, and operational innovations that improve service delivery and efficiency.
- Establish performance reporting standards and leverage data to drive operational decision-making.
Talent Development & Leadership
- Build a high-performing Rooms Division culture across all properties.
- Develop training programs, leadership development pathways, and succession planning initiatives for Front Office and Housekeeping leaders.
- Coach Directors of Rooms, Executive Housekeepers, Front Office Managers, and emerging leaders to strengthen bench strength across the organization.
- Promote alignment with Rentyl Resorts' culture, service philosophy, and operational expectations.
Pre-Opening, Conversions & Property Onboarding
- Serve as the corporate Rooms Division lead for new resort developments, acquisitions, brand conversions, and major renovations.
- Partner with ownership, development, design, and construction teams to ensure operational readiness during project planning and execution.
- Develop organizational structures, staffing models, labor plans, and operating budgets for new properties.
- Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of key Rooms Division leadership positions.
- Oversee implementation and testing of PMS, key systems, housekeeping technology, and guest service platforms prior to opening.
- Lead pre-opening training, operational certifications, and service culture initiatives.
- Coordinate mock arrivals, soft openings, operational simulations, and readiness assessments.
- Remain actively involved during opening phases to troubleshoot challenges, coach teams, and ensure successful operational transitions.
- Conduct post-opening reviews and integrate lessons learned into future onboarding and opening processes.
Risk Management & Operational Readiness
- Support crisis management planning, emergency preparedness initiatives, and operational risk mitigation efforts.
- Ensure Rooms Division teams maintain compliance with brand requirements, safety standards, and company operating procedures.
- Lead operational response planning for business disruptions and critical incidents affecting guest room operations.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive Rooms Division leadership experience within hotels and resorts, including at least 2 years at the Director of Rooms level or above.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-property operations or portfolio-wide initiatives.
- Experience supporting hotel or resort openings, conversions, acquisitions, or significant renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of Property Management Systems, housekeeping management platforms, and guest engagement technologies.
- Proven ability to analyze operational and financial performance metrics and translate insights into action plans.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across operations, finance, human resources, revenue management, information technology, and development teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including extended on-site assignments during pre-opening periods.

NICE TO HAVE
- Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) or similar hospitality certification.
- Experience leading openings across multiple markets or hospitality brands.
- Multi-language proficiency relevant to portfolio guest demographics.
- Experience within resort, mixed-use, vacation ownership, or leisure-focused hospitality environments.
