BrightStar Care of Honolulu is hiring compassionate, dependable part-time Caregivers, PCAs, and CNAs for one-on-one in-home care throughout Oahu.

This opportunity is especially well suited for caregivers looking for approximately 8-20 hours per week while balancing school, family, another job, retirement, or other commitments.

You do not need to be available every day. We are looking for caregivers who have consistent days or times each week when they can reliably work.

Depending on current client needs, opportunities may include weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, recurring weekly visits, and occasional longer shifts.

Part-time caregiving can be a great fit if you have certain days or times each week when you are consistently available.

Depending on current client needs, opportunities may include:

- Weekday mornings

What You'll Do

You will work one-on-one with clients in their homes and help them remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

Responsibilities may include:

- Personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

- Mobility assistance and safe transfers

- Meal preparation and light housekeeping

- Companionship and meaningful engagement

- Medication reminders and basic health monitoring

- Accompanying clients to appointments and errands

- Following each client's individualized plan of care

- Communicating with families, nurses, and our care team

No Experience? We'll Train You.

You do not need years of caregiving experience to get started.

We offer free pre-hire training to help the right candidates build the skills and confidence needed to provide excellent care.

Qualifications

- Compassionate, reliable, and professional

- Able to consistently work the shifts you accept

- Completion of a nurse aide training program or equivalent, or willingness to complete our pre-hire training

- A reliable car to travel to client homes for scheduled shifts

- Able to pass required background check and drug screening

- Physically able to safely assist clients with transfers and mobility

CNA certification, a valid Hawaii driver's license, and experience in home care, assisted living, hospice, or dementia care are preferred.
