About This Role

As part of the REMS team at Lincoln Plaza , the Sustainability Analyst will work with the Senior Project Manager on sustainability initiatives, environmental data tracking and reporting, management of service contracts related to environmental services and consultants, and collaboration with the Client's Sustainability team.

- You will work directly with the Client, consultants, contractors, and internal staff to develop workflows for the LEED recertification process, including planning meetings, data collection and entry, tracking, and documentation. You will successfully track market activity using internal and external resources and provide company and industry research using online and in-house resources.
- You will stay current on trends in sustainability, conservation, and green building operations. You will effectively collect, input, and track energy and water consumption data through EPA's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and provide reports as requested. You will also track and report on federal, state, and local sustainability performance mandates.
- You will successfully manage the existing LEED certification program for two (2) Class A and one (1) Class B office buildings. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can use your exceptional multitasking skills to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Essential Functions and Job Duties

- Collect, analyze, and report sustainability performance data for buildings and operations.
- Manage and support reporting activities with The Climate Registry and other environmental reporting platforms.
- Coordinate and support LEED certification and recertification efforts across multiple facilities.
- Assist with WELL Building Standard and WELL Health-Safety Rating initiatives.
- Monitor and track ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager performance metrics and benchmarking activities.
- Conduct sustainability assessments and identify opportunities for energy, water, waste, and carbon reduction, including quarterly water testing, indoor air quality (IAQ) testing, greenhouse gas inventories, and compliance with state mandates, executive orders, and Senate bills.
- Support environmental compliance programs and sustainability initiatives.
- Research and evaluate emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Prepare presentations, reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with facility managers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to implement sustainability goals.
- Maintain documentation and records related to environmental programs, certifications, and sustainability reporting requirements.
- Support organizational ESG and sustainability objectives through data analysis and performance measurement.

What You'll Bring

- At least two (2) years of experience in environmental science, research, market analysis, or a related role within commercial real estate. A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field (Business, Economics, Statistics, etc.) is required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using various data sources and reporting platforms.
- LEED Green Associate (GA), LEED Accredited Professional (AP), ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, or CRIS experience is considered an asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in sustainability, environmental management, green building, energy management, or a related field.

Required Certifications (or Ability to Obtain Within 12 Months of Hire)

- LEED Green Associate (LEED GA), or
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

Technical Skills

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, dashboards) Word PowerPoint Outlook
- Ability to analyze large datasets and develop meaningful reports and recommendations.
- Experience with sustainability tracking and reporting tools is preferred.

Communication Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical sustainability information to diverse audiences.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to prepare professional reports, executive summaries, and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting sustainability programs for commercial real estate, facilities management, or large building portfolios.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and greenhouse gas inventory management.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, renewable energy, carbon accounting, and decarbonization strategies.

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $38.46 to $44.23

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all national locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
