C.H. Robinson is hiring a Manager Software Engineering to join our technology team in Warsaw!

The Manager of Software Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing a team responsible for building software functionality into our application platform/integrating 3rd party software into existing platform.  This position will help lead conversations with cross functional leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time. The Manager of Software Engineering will oversee bringing technical and business priorities into one plan, understanding upstream and downstream dependencies while providing written and verbal reporting on progress to plan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing software engineering team, fostering accountability, continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence
- Partner with product owners, business leaders, and technical teams to shape product strategy, define priorities, and translate the product vision into actionable plans
- Guide software initiatives from discovery through production, aligning technical and business priorities, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery
- Drive the development and integration of reliable, business-critical software through agile practices, iterative delivery, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, service-level expectations, and delivery timelines, while tracking progress and communicating results to stakeholders
- Ensure projects are staffed effectively by assessing resource and talent needs, developing internal capabilities, and supporting hiring and onboarding
- Oversee production readiness through effective monitoring, alerting, auditing, and tools such as AppDynamics
- Respond to production incidents, bugs, and escalations with urgency, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed service levels
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with architects, product managers, project managers, engineers, and leaders to improve processes, remove obstacles, and deliver lasting business value

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- Bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma/GED with at least four years of equivalent work experience
- At least five years of experience in a technology role, such as software engineering, business analysis, quality assurance, product management, or technology project management
- At least two years of experience leading, motivating, and developing teams, including through change and conflict
- Experience delivering business-critical software functionality in an agile environment

Preferred

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Broad technical experience across front-end and back-end systems, including concepts such as relational databases, asynchronous data movement, object-oriented programming, CI/CD, or distributed systems
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to connect team priorities to broader business objectives
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment
- Willingness to travel up to 5%

Compensation Range
zł197,000.00 - zł434,200.00
