Engineering Manager, Big Data

About the Role and Team:

The Big Data Group is responsible for processing, storing, and delivering meaningful information both within the Adform Flow product and to external clients. Its work begins once raw internet data is captured and available in the Adform environment. The group’s processing mechanisms transform raw data into augmented, valuable information, which is stored in Vertica and HDFS. Several development teams operate within the group, each focused on building microservices that handle real-time data. These services support various domains such as DMP, Reporting, Algo, and Research. The Engineering Manager role in Big Data oversees two of these teams.

The manager is accountable for people management, delivery of development outcomes, and stakeholder alignment. The Engineering Manager works closely with Product Managers and the Product Director to coordinate delivery against the product roadmap, and with Architects to ensure teams understand and align with the agreed technical direction and requirements. Ultimately, the role ensures that teams perform at a high level while meeting organisational goals.

Stand out by having :

- Technical background in backend engineering, distributed systems, or Big Data , enabling you to effectively support and challenge technical decisions made by the team
- Understanding of Big Data and cloud technologies , such as Kafka, Hadoop, Vertica, or public cloud platforms
- Experience working in AdTech or other data-intensive technology domains
