About the Role

As an Executive Director, Acquisition Finance , you will play a key role in leading the origination, structuring and execution of financing solutions supporting acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate M&A and other event-driven transactions across Asia, and ANZ’s broader international network. This role involves working closely with clients, relationship managers and product partners to deliver tailored debt solutions.

What will your day look like?

You are accountable for:

- Leading the origination, structuring and execution of acquisition financing opportunities across Asia, with a focus on private equity / financial sponsors and acquisitive corporate clients

- Engaging with coverage bankers and product partners to identify M&A-related financing opportunities

- Developing and maintaining senior relationships with private equity / financial sponsors and other key market participants

- Embedding a culture of prudent risk assessment and ongoing management

- Providing strong deal team leadership across a diverse range of transaction structures, sectors and geographies

- Providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the team

- Supporting the delivery and execution of the Corporate Finance strategy in Singapore and across the Asia region.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:

- Deep expertise in M&A / event-driven debt structuring and negotiation

- Established networks in the APAC leveraged finance / loan markets

- Strong credit evaluation, underwriting and transaction execution experience across complex corporate finance deals

- Strong industry and sector knowledge across priority markets in Asia, with the ability to develop relevant client solutions

- Proven senior deal leadership, stakeholder influencing and external marketing skills to deliver outcomes across regional teams

- Flexibility to contribute across origination, structuring, underwriting, execution and distribution as business needs require

- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across cultures and ambiguity, supported by strong planning, numerical and analytical skills
