About the Role

As Head of Project Finance Asia you’ll play a key role in leading a specialist team responsible for the provision of structured lending solutions for ANZ’s Institutional and Corporate customers across Project Finance transactions.

This role is a designated Material Risk Person (MRP) under the MAS Guidelines on Individual Accountability and Conduct (GIAC) and will assist the Senior Manager (SM) accountable for the Core Management Function of Project Finance transactions and assets for the ANZ Singapore Branch. This MRP role is responsible for timely escalation to SMs to assist SM’s in discharging their accountabilities.

The role is specifically geared to lead, , develop and grow ANZ’s Project Finance business in Asia through the origination and execution of project finance transactions in Asia.

What will your day look like?

You are accountable for:

- Lead the Asia Project Finance team, originating and executing transactions while overseeing performance, career development, mentoring, coaching, development plans and succession planning.

- Drive Project Finance opportunities across resources, energy, infrastructure, data centres and other priority sectors, contributing to global strategy and serving as the key contact for Project Finance in Asia.

- Build trusted customer relationships and collaborate effectively with Business, Risk, frontline and enablement teams to deliver valuable outcomes, manage stakeholders and resolve conflicts professionally.

- Oversee sales, origination, credit analysis, financial modelling, term sheets and facility documentation, ensuring timely, accurate decisions, effective risk management, policy compliance and escalation of emerging credit concerns.

- Embedding a culture of prudent risk assessment and ongoing management

- Providing strong deal team leadership across a diverse range of transaction structures, sectors and geographies

- Providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the team

- Ability to deliver targeted insights and practical solutions to complex issues, assess alternatives and add tangible value to project outcomes
