Job Purpose
The Account Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer relationships within assigned accounts. The role focuses on developing strategic account plans, strengthening relationships with senior client stakeholders, identifying business opportunities, and aligning customer needs with Weatherford’s sales and business strategies.
Responsibilities
Account & Sales Management
- Own the end-to-end account management lifecycle , from opportunity identification through contract execution and performance review.
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans in SFDC and communicate plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion.
- Lead and coordinate the tender development and response process , ensuring appropriate technical, commercial, and operational support.
- Support pricing discussions, contract negotiations, extensions, and renewals in collaboration with Technical Sales, Sales leadership, and Legal.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in SFDC.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, industry trends, and competitive insights.
- Develop strategies aligned with customer objectives and Weatherford’s core capabilities.
- Monitor account and contract performance and escalate key commercial or operational issues.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and senior stakeholders.
- Understand customer business needs, challenges, and future requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Develop and execute Client Engagement Plans to strengthen customer relationships and expand business opportunities.
- Manage customer expectations, commercial discussions, service issues, and problem-job communications.
- Deliver customer presentations and participate in relevant industry and marketing events.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, customers, and other key stakeholders.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Develop account strategies aligned with revenue and profitability targets .
- Review account performance and revenue opportunities with Sales leadership.
- Identify and address revenue gaps and develop appropriate action plans.
- Evaluate sales opportunities in partnership with Technical Sales.
- Ensure compliance with commercial, pricing, tendering, and financial processes.
- Manage expenses and commercial activities within approved budgets and company policies.
Compliance & Quality
- Conduct all activities in accordance with Weatherford’s ethical, compliance, HSE, security, and governance standards .
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and industry practices.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
People & Development
- Complete required sales, product, compliance, and business training.
- Continuously develop commercial, technical, and account management capabilities.
- Support collaboration, coaching, and development within the wider team.

Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience , including at least 2 years of industry sales experience .
- Experience in account management, sales, business development, or commercial roles within the energy/oilfield services industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Willingness to undertake relevant sales, product, compliance, and business training.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required, up to approximately 10% .
