The Deputy GM, Transportation operates across a complex multinational, government, and joint venture environment. The role must integrate competing government, shareholder, commercial, operational, and corporate priorities while supporting alignment across internal Chevron functions. The position requires the seniority and credibility to represent the Chevron in selected senior external engagements and provide visible leadership across the Chevron internal regional business unit, and participate in joint venture board-level activities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Own critical external relationships and lead engagements with critical stakeholders
- Represent Chevron in selected government shareholder, and diplomatic engagements
- Build relationships with critical financial institutions for Chevron regional operations
- Ensure all above and other relationships are managed in a 100% fully compliant manner in line with all relevant legal and Chevron policy requirements.
- Ensure that the Chevron regional subsidiary operates as an integrated organization across Chevron business, functional, and geographic boundaries.
- Provide visible leadership across regional Chevron business unit, representing Chevron perspectives in regional leadership discussions, strengthening alignment across business units and functions, and mobilizing Chevron resources and expertise to address operational priorities
- Maintain presence in the business community through presentations and active participation and leadership in key associations, such as the Petroleum Advisory Forum, American Chamber of Commerce, etc.
- Lead cross-functional response to significant incidents, business-continuity threats, and emerging government or shareholder issues.
- Participate actively in succession planning, ensuring that the organization has the correct capability to fill critical positions
- Establish and periodically test business-continuity and crisis-management plans, ensuring clear decision rights, escalation protocols, and organizational readiness for high-impact events
- Identify emerging threats and opportunities early and develop strategic options and recommendations for Chevron regional leadership.
- Monitor major macroeconomic, geopolitical, regulatory, energy-transition, and regional infrastructure developments
