🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid Schedule)

Help Patients and Providers Get the Information They Need

At Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC) , exceptional patient care continues even after the imaging exam is complete.

As a Patient Resource Center Coordinator , you’ll help patients, referring physicians, and healthcare organizations access the images, reports, and medical records they need for continued care. You’ll work behind the scenes with our imaging systems and electronic image-sharing platforms while also providing responsive, helpful service to patients and healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Do
Support Patients & Referring Providers
- Assist patients, referring physicians, and healthcare organizations with requests for imaging and reports
- Gather accurate information regarding what records are needed and where and how they should be delivered
- Prioritize walk-in patient requests while maintaining privacy and HIPAA requirements
- Provide backup support to the Referring Physician Line as needed
- Fax reports and provide authorized records to patients, referring physicians, and healthcare organizations
Manage & Share Medical Images
- Prepare and complete patient image requests within established turnaround times
- Work within PACS and FRC systems to share and retrieve patient images
- Electronically transfer images using platforms such as PowerShare, Ambra, and Nucleus
- Load and digitize outside CDs for comparison with previous imaging
- Burn and verify CDs to ensure the correct patient, examination, images, and dates are included
- Anonymize imaging CDs for accreditation and approved research purposes
- Complete assigned worklists related to sharing or retrieving prior imaging
Keep Requests Moving
- Research missing CDs and reports using established FRC processes
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that could delay image or record delivery
- Escalate unresolved image or report issues appropriately
- Recognize legal requests and promptly route them to the Legal Requests Coordinator
- Assist with medical record requests supporting FRC's Legal Department
Support the Patient Resource Center Team
- Help troubleshoot CD-burning and other PACS-related equipment issues
- Process incoming mail and deliveries
- Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work area
- Assist with training and orientation of new Patient Resource Center employees
- Support other FRC locations as needed
- Participate in FRC's Continuous Quality Improvement efforts

What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar administrative, customer service, healthcare, or support role
- Previous medical or healthcare experience is helpful
- Comfort working with computers and learning multiple electronic systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- A patient- and service-focused approach when working with patients, physicians, healthcare organizations, and coworkers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Valid driving record that meets FRC requirements for occasional backup courier responsibilities
