About the Role
The Manager, Supply Chain Finance Business Partnering leads Supply Chain Finance Business Partnering for DKSH's business in Malaysia, providing strategic financial insights and constructive challenge to drive profitable growth, operational efficiency, and effective working capital management. This role is central to translating supply chain strategy and operational performance into financial outcomes, partnering closely with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Business Unit leadership across cost management, productivity, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
What You Will Deliver
- Act as the Finance Business Partner to Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Business Unit leadership, providing financial insight and constructive challenge to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Translate SCM strategy, operational plans, and business priorities into clear financial implications, targets, and performance measures
- Lead financial performance management across key SCM cost areas including warehousing, transportation, inventory, distribution, manpower, and other supply chain operating costs
- Lead monthly SCM financial performance reviews, analyzing actual versus budget, forecast, and prior year results, identifying key drivers, risks, and corrective actions
- Partner with SCM and commercial teams to optimize inventory, working capital, and cash conversion while balancing customer service, inventory investment, and profitability
- Lead SCM budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, including scenario analysis for volume, capacity, cost, and investment decisions
- Drive cost optimization, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives, including evaluation of business cases, network changes, outsourcing, capacity requirements, and strategic investments
- Provide financial assessment of operational issues such as capacity constraints, service-level performance, rejection and cancellation costs, double handling, and other supply chain inefficiencies
- Establish and monitor relevant financial and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), strengthening visibility, accountability, and performance management across SCM
- Prepare and present actionable financial insights to SCM leadership, Business Unit heads, and senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
- Strengthen financial governance across SCM, including cost allocation, investment evaluation, business cases, and financial controls
- Lead initiatives to improve SCM financial reporting, analytics, automation, and digitalization using SAP, Power BI, Excel, and other relevant business intelligence platforms
- Set clear objectives and priorities aligned with Finance, SCM, and Business Unit strategy, with full accountability for delivery and performance outcomes
- Influence senior SCM and Business Unit stakeholders through strong financial insight, constructive challenge, and effective communication
- Champion continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making across the SCM organization
What You Bring
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or a related professional qualification is preferred
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), or Controlling, preferably with exposure to logistics, distribution, warehousing, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and consumer business
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior SCM and Business Unit stakeholders, with strong commercial and operational understanding
- Prior managerial or team leadership experience is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence business decisions
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, and Distribution operations and their financial drivers
- Strong financial and management accounting knowledge, with the ability to translate operational performance into financial outcomes
- Strong understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L), cost-to-serve, working capital, inventory, cost management, and profitability drivers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and translate complex data into actionable recommendations
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and business case evaluation
- Strong SAP and financial systems knowledge; experience with supply chain planning or analytics systems is an advantage
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with the ability to simplify complex financial and operational information for senior management audiences
- Strong project management, change management, and continuous improvement capabilities
