More about the role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to light the way as a Legal Intern – Technology, Cybersecurity & Governance  at our office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands .

As part of our legal team, you will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of law, technology, cybersecurity, and international corporate governance. Because Signify operates in connected lighting, the Internet of Things, and a global business environment, you will see how fast-developing legal requirements are translated into practical governance arrangements, processes, and tools.

Working with colleagues from Legal, Corporate Security, Procurement, and the businesses, you will:

- Research and map relevant cybersecurity laws and regulations, supporting the assessment of how they may affect Signify’s global operations, products, services, and legal entities.
- Support applicable cybersecurity registration and notification procedures.
- Assist with corporate-governance and legal-entity formalities across a multinational group, including collecting documentation, preparing draft approvals, maintaining records and trackers, and supporting filing and registration processes.
- Use legal-design methods and legal-tech or AI tools to turn complex information into accessible maps, checklists, decision trees, workflows, dashboards, and internal guidance.

The internship is designed for one day per week, with the possibility of increasing this to two days per week by mutual agreement.

- You can research complex subjects carefully and translate your findings into accurate, practical, and visually accessible materials.
- You communicate confidently in English and bring curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, discretion, and a collaborative mindset.

- Paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
- Extensive set of tools to drive your career, such as a personalized learning platform.
- Opportunity to purchase products in the staff shop at reduced prices.
- We’re offering multiple opportunities for career development, like mentoring, coaching and stretch assignments, with strong international exposure for dynamic profiles. Learning is fundamental to our culture. Through continuous learning, we are transforming the industry. You have the chance to learn every day, acquire new skills and perspectives through customized online programs, and on-the-job experiences.
- As an intern, you will be part of the intern program in the Netherlands, consisting of several events, trainings and networking opportunities with your peer students. Join us and shine brighter together!
