The Role

The Project Field Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day field execution across assigned construction projects. This position coordinates Tasman crews, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and contract requirements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced field environments. This role serves as the primary field representative, overseeing activities from mobilization through punch list completion and project turnover.

What You'll Be Doing

Field Operations & Project Execution

- Lead daily field operations across assigned construction scopes

- Direct Tasman crews and coordinate subcontractors to achieve project milestones

- Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, material deliveries, and trade sequencing

- Support project startup, mobilization, daily execution, and project closeout activities

- Ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with client expectations

Project Coordination & Planning

- Review drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, and scope changes

- Identify field conflicts and communicate issues to project leadership

- Coordinate daily and weekly work activities with project managers and site leadership

- Manage site access, logistics, and work sequencing to maximize efficiency

- Assist in evaluating schedule impacts and developing solutions

Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Inspect work for quality, code compliance, and adherence to contract requirements

- Coordinate required inspections and corrective actions

- Monitor punch list activities and ensure timely completion

- Support testing, turnover, commissioning, and project closeout efforts

- Verify completed work meets project specifications and company standards

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, motivate, and support field crews and subcontractors

- Conduct daily coordination meetings and communicate project expectations

- Foster accountability and teamwork across project teams

- Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to field personnel

- Promote a positive and productive work environment

Safety & Risk Management

- Lead pre-task planning meetings and daily safety discussions

- Enforce safety policies, procedures, and project-specific requirements

- Identify and address unsafe conditions immediately

- Escalate safety, scope, cost, and schedule concerns to project management

- Maintain a strong safety culture that aligns with Tasman's core values

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily reports documenting manpower, production, site conditions, deliveries, delays, and progress

- Capture supporting project photographs and documentation

- Track potential change orders, schedule impacts, and field issues

- Maintain accurate records of project activities and field observations

- Communicate progress and project status updates to management

What You Bring

Required

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 5 years of construction field experience

- Minimum of 2 years leading crews and/or subcontractors on active construction projects

- Experience coordinating project schedules, quality inspections, safety programs, and daily reporting

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals

- Strong understanding of construction means and methods

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Ability to resolve field conflicts and make sound decisions

- Experience utilizing project documentation and reporting systems

- Valid driver's license

- Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

- Experience with multifamily, military housing, or occupied renovation projects

- OSHA 30 Certification

- Experience coordinating HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and general construction trades

- Experience working in occupied facilities and customer-facing environments

- Knowledge of commissioning, turnover, and closeout processes

Work Environment

This position operates primarily on active construction sites and occupied facilities.

Field Conditions

- Indoor and outdoor work environments

- Exposure to varying weather conditions

- Active construction sites with multiple trades operating simultaneously

- Exposure to noise, dust, heavy equipment, and moving machinery

- Work in equipment rooms, attics, rooftops, and renovation environments

- Regular interaction with clients, residents, subcontractors, and inspectors

Physical Requirements

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing

- Ability to work on ladders and access elevated work areas

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to navigate active construction sites safely

- Ability to work extended hours as required by project demands

- Full-time field position

- Hours driven by project schedules

- Early mornings, overtime, weekends, and travel may be required

- Flexibility to support project deadlines and client commitments

- Must be authorized to work in the United States

- Must possess a valid driver's license

- Must be able to travel to assigned project locations

- Must be able to satisfy client and facility access requirements when assigned to restricted sites
