Overview:

We are looking for an Operations Manager – Non-Residential in our Riviera Beach location.

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of non-residential activity including safety, quality, staffing, equipment utilization, and ongoing improvement in our kitting and assembly operations. This leader drives operational excellence by ensuring all processes meet customer requirements, production schedules, quality standards, and financial objectives.

The Operations Manager develops and leads high-performing teams while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety, Quality & Compliance

- Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
- Partner with Quality teams to ensure standards, specifications, and customer requirements are consistently met.
- Drive continuous improvements in product quality and manufacturing processes while minimizing rework and scrap.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, certifications, and operational procedures

Operational Leadership

- Lead all operations, including pipe cutting, assembly, testing, packaging, and shipping activities.
- Ensure production schedules are driven efficiently to meet customer delivery commitments while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Drive operational performance through effective labor planning, workflow management, equipment utilization, and process optimization.
- Monitor and improve important metrics related to efficiency, efficiency, quality, safety, timely delivery, and cost management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained manufacturing environment applying Lean and continuous improvement principles.

People Leadership & Development

- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and fabrication associates to build a highly engaged and high-performing workforce.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability for operational performance, safety, quality, and customer service.
- Develop succession plans and training programs that enhance technical skills, leadership capabilities, and operational expertise.
- Foster a culture that promotes teamwork, respect, inclusion, innovation, and continuous learning.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

- Apply operational metrics, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and cost reduction initiatives that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Implement standardized work practices and best-in-class manufacturing processes.
- Drive inventory optimization and material flow improvements to support production and customer demand.

Cross-Functional Partnership

- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Engineering, Inventory, Transportation, Finance, and Human Resources teams to support business objectives.
- Partner with fabrication engineering and project collaborators to ensure customer specifications and project requirements are accurately accomplished.
- Provide operational insights, recommendations, and strategic support to leadership regarding capacity planning, workforce needs, and operational investments.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial production, or distribution environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing supervisors, production teams, or operational departments.
- Experience leading pipe fabrication, steel fabrication, fire protection fabrication, manufacturing, welding, or industrial production operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of production planning, process management, quality systems, and operational performance metrics.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence methodologies preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, driving engagement, and developing talent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and production reporting systems.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
