The opportunity
We are seeking a Quality Assurance & Compliance Lead to establish and manage independent review of proposals, project documentation, and client deliverables.
You will verify that our work addresses the controlling requirements, that findings are supported, and that review issues are resolved before release. You will work closely with project managers and technical leads while maintaining independent judgment.
This role focuses on consulting quality and contractual compliance. Specialized legal, accounting, security, or technical questions will be escalated to appropriately qualified professionals.
Responsibilities
- Build requirement-by-requirement review checklists from solicitations, addenda, agency clarifications, and executed contracts.
- Review proposals for completeness, consistency, required forms, supported qualifications, and submission instructions.
- Verify that project deliverables meet agreed scope and acceptance criteria.
- Check calculations, tables, charts, citations, source traceability, and consistency across documents.
- Coordinate specialist review of methods and conclusions that require deeper technical expertise.
- Confirm that assumptions, limitations, and unresolved issues are clearly disclosed.
- Maintain review logs with prioritized findings, responsible owners, and closure evidence.
- Recheck corrected materials before recommending release.
- Establish document control, version management, and approval records.
- Monitor project-specific obligations concerning confidentiality, data handling, accessibility, and subcontractor documentation.
- Identify recurring errors and improve checklists, training, and review processes.
- Escalate material unresolved issues to leadership before submission or delivery.
Requirements
- Experience reviewing consulting deliverables, research reports, proposals, or other evidence-based professional work.
- Experience interpreting detailed requirements and testing documents against them.
- Strong numerical reasoning and proficiency reviewing spreadsheets, tables, and supporting calculations.
- Excellent editing, documentation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to distinguish verified facts, assumptions, unsupported claims, and missing evidence.
- Experience maintaining issue logs, review records, and document versions.
- Confidence raising concerns and requiring corrections while working constructively with delivery teams.
- Ability to prioritize review effort according to the significance of potential errors.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with government solicitations, public-sector consulting, contract administration, or proposal compliance.
- Familiarity with workforce research, compensation studies, economic analysis, or program evaluation.
- Experience with audit, quality management, or formal document review processes.
- Familiarity with accessible reports and public-sector document requirements.
- Experience creating quality procedures for a growing professional services organization.
