Analyst - Industrial Placement Scheme 2027

This role is only open to undergraduate students applying for a placement year as part of their undergraduate degree.

This role would ideally suit those who are interested by the variety and pace of consulting with a desire to take on more responsibility and experience greater client engagement than may be commonplace in a larger organisation. Given our data driven and tech-enabled approach, this role also suits candidates who are excited by the idea of working with large datasets and using code (primarily SQL).

Requirements

We are looking for people who have demonstrable skills and experience in the following areas:

- Problem solving and insight, with the ability to bring structured thinking to complicated situations and translate data into practical recommendations .
- Analytical skills and technical experience 'beyond excel'. Experience with SQL, Python, or a visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) is a plus.
- A commercial mindset and an interest in business and marketing/sales.
- Clear written and verbal communication and strong relationship building .
- Committed team player – you want to have real impact with clients working at pace as part of a project team .
- Self-directed and proactive – you will have considerable responsibility from Day one.

Application process:

The application process for Placement Year students involves:

- Two short online assessments - you will be sent a link following your application. The assessments measure problem solving, critical thinking, learning ability, your ability to digest information and clarity of written communication.

- First round 45-minute virtual interview - a competency-based interview. The questions will be about getting to know you and understanding your skills and experience, and motivations for a role at Coppett Hill.

- Final round 45-minute virtual interview - The interview questions will continue to be about getting to know you and understanding your skills and experience. As part of this interview, there may also be an unstructured case study exercise.
