Security Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Security; The Security Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of the Security, Health & Safety, Life, Fire & Safety programs and operations, as well as the training of the security team.  Must be “hands on” and provide the leadership and direction required to motivate and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Hotel.

Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

- 2-3 years of hotel security experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive knowledge of CPR, first aid, fire prevention and safety, and crowd control.
- Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Flexible schedule; ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid
