Job Description

As an SSG Project Manager, you'll lead projects from initial pursuit through final turnover. You'll oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing client expectations, operational constraints, schedules, budgets, and team performance.

You will:

- Lead cradle-to-grave delivery of renovation, retrofit, tenant improvement, and special projects ranging from approximately $500K to $15M
- Manage estimating, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, forecasting, scheduling, execution, closeout, and client handover
- Develop project strategies that minimize disruption to occupied and operating facilities
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, building operators, and internal teams
- Identify project risks early and create practical solutions that keep work moving
- Drive accurate forecasting and financial performance through proactive project monitoring and reporting
- Manage project budgets, change orders, cost controls, and subcontractor buyouts
- Coordinate project teams including Superintendents, Coordinators, consultants, and subcontractors
- Develop schedules and execution plans that support accelerated project timelines
- Champion safety, quality, Lean construction practices, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals, presentations, and client relationship growth
- Deliver projects that exceed client expectations while maintaining profitability and operational excellence

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience with a general contractor on commercial, institutional, renovation, retrofit, or tenant improvement projects
- 1+ years in a Project Manager role
- Proven experience delivering projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Strong understanding of construction management, contracts, procurement, risk management, and project controls
- Demonstrated success managing projects in occupied or operational environments
- Exceptional forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and financial management skills
- Experience implementing and managing change orders, project reporting, and client communications
- Skilled at balancing multiple projects, competing priorities, and accelerated schedules
- Strong relationship-builder with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent communicator who can navigate challenging situations with confidence and professionalism
- Proficient with project management and scheduling software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required
