Department Description:

The Sony Pictures Story Department provides submission and project coverage for the Motion Picture Group and handles script distribution and archiving. The trainee serves as administrative support by assisting in the distribution of scripts and maintaining a database of scripts and coverage. This position is a great opportunity for those who have an interest in the process of feature film development or screenwriting.

Responsibilities:

- Digital distribution of confidential files

- Maintaining database, organizing records

- Digitizing old files (coverage and scripts)

- Communicating with other departments regarding script distribution

- Conducting research

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience.

- Must be able to handle confidential material in a sensitive manner

- Must possess clear communication in verbal and written form

- Must have good attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro

- Final Draft experience

The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
