Position Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving lead assists the manager on duties directly related to receiving, shipping and inventory of finished goods. Position will require training employees and ensuring they are following all processes related to the shipping/receiving protocols in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department. Also responsible for increasing productivity, improving efficiency, eliminating waste and striving for error free service to our customers, while doing so with highest regards of following all safety protocols. This role requires someone that is results orientated, has dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
- Train and guide employees using established and new material management/flow methods to ensure on-time delivery of correct count of products/materials in a safe and timely manner to meet production demands.
- Assists management with work assignments, schedules, changes, procurement of parts and communication of production demands to employees as well as perform quality and safety audits.
- Timely prepare and accurately complete and store all required documentation including production cards and controls scrap tickets.
- Safely operate material moving equipment and powered industrial lifts without causing damage.
- Communicate any urgent items to supervisor/manager immediately.
- Identify areas of opportunities and participate in implementing continuous improvement processes.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure employees are adhering to the Company safety protocols.
- Substitute for missing personnel as needed.
- Ensure that workplace safety and housekeeping is acceptable levels at all times.
- Perform pre and post safety checks of equipment and lifts.
- PTAC – utilize PTAC system, receiving, storing, cycle counting, picking, staging and shipping units.

- Works with minimal supervision.
- Serves as a resource to others.
- Relies on experience and judgment to orient, train, assign and check others work.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience using a warehouse management system
- Working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and reach trucks.
- Ability to interpret and follow all work instructions, bill of materials, processes and policies.
- High level of attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
- Ability to train, coach and mentor others, ability to develop professional working relationships among employees
- Strong problem-solving skills and compliance oriented.
- Ability to apply good judgement, decision-making skills, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
- Able to work flexible and demanding schedules and effectively respond to unexpected changes and situations in a composed professional manner.
- Ability to pass required forklift and lead training provided through in-house and on the job training.
Experience:
- 3 plus years of experience in shipping or related field required and operating forklifts.
- 1 years of experience in a lead/trainer role
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
