What you'll be doing
Transaction Banking helps our clients move money, manage liquidity and support day-to-day business operations with confidence. As a Director, Commercialization, you'll lead the commercialization strategy for new and existing Transaction Banking products, ensuring alignment with client segment priorities, sales objectives and broader business goals. You'll develop and execute go-to-market plans for launches, enhancements, partnerships and platform capabilities, with a focus on launch readiness, internal communications, sales enablement and performance tracking. You'll build business cases for new commercial opportunities by assessing market demand, client needs, competitive positioning, revenue potential, implementation considerations and risk. You'll also provide pricing strategy input in partnership with Product and Pricing teams to strengthen competitiveness, client value and margin discipline. In addition, you'll equip Relationship Managers, Sales teams and internal partners with the tools, training and insights they need to drive product adoption, cross-sell opportunities and consistent client experiences.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
- Commercialization Strategy - Lead the commercialization strategy for Transaction Banking products and capabilities, aligning plans to segment priorities, sales objectives and overall business strategy.
- Go-to-Market Execution - Develop and execute go-to-market plans for launches, product enhancements, partnerships and platform capabilities, including readiness activities, internal communications, sales enablement and post-launch performance tracking.
- Business Case Development - Build and assess business cases for commercial initiatives by evaluating market opportunity, client needs, competitive positioning, revenue potential, implementation considerations and risk.
- Pricing and Performance Management - Partner with Product and Pricing teams to inform pricing strategies and use performance insights to recommend actions that improve product adoption, profitability and client value.
- Sales Enablement and Training - Design and deliver playbooks, pitch materials, battlecards, onboarding content and structured learning programs, including role-specific training paths, launch refreshers, train-the-trainer sessions and feedback loops informed by field insights.
Who you are
- You can demonstrate experience in transaction banking, commercial banking or business-to-business financial services, with deep knowledge of cash management, payments, liquidity, trade finance, commercial cards and related solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience partnering with fintechs, digital platforms or embedded and integrated solution providers.
- You're passionate about people. You build strong relationships across Sales, Product, Pricing and partner teams. You connect with others through respect and authenticity, and you know how to bring teams together to deliver commercial outcomes.
- You give meaning to data. You enjoy assessing market opportunities, client needs and competitive trends to shape clear, actionable recommendations. You use insights to strengthen business cases, pricing decisions and commercialization performance.
