About this role

The legal Manager will provide a proper support and legal guidance to our center, been a very close business partner executing all the legal processes, making sure all the internal and external stakeholders are following a clear guidance related to Employee labor legislation, Compliance processes, local legal regulations and commercial agreements. This wole should translate the company objectives into clear legal actions and mitigating any potential risks to the business, stakeholders and our employees. Finally is a key influencing partner throught the organization been example of compliance, values and behaviours.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

- Act as the primary legal advisor to designated business units and functional leaders.
- Provide proactive, commercially oriented legal guidance that balances risk management with business growth objectives.
- Participate in strategic planning discussions, business reviews, and key decision-making forums.
- Translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical business recommendations.
- Influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organization.

Contract management

- Lead the overall contractual policy for agreements with customers and suppliers.
- Draft contracts for priority projects (e.g., land purchase agreements, strategic product manufacturing agreements, recruitment of strategic positions).
- Determine exception criteria for contractual requirements and/or guidelines.
- Identify risks arising from exceptions and propose alternatives to mitigate them.
- Execute/sign contracts.

Corporate Governance

- Supervise and oversee the preparation of shareholders' meeting minutes and entries in capital variation books and shareholder registration books.
- Conduct the annual corporate governance assessment update.
- Define the internal policy regarding the creation of companies, joint ventures, powers of attorney, and board meetings, with the objective of safeguarding shareholders' interests and investments within the group of companies.

Labor & Employment

- Support the HR Function on the administration of labor cases giving guidance and technical knowledge to avoid business risks
- Be the the connection with the business and the External legal firm to manage any labor cases or review any needs from the business related to the local federal law.
- Support the HR team on any legal and compliance cases, questions or processes to avoid potential risks and action any legal suggestions.
- Develop documents and templates for employment terminations.
- Review and update documentation in accordance with legal reforms and changes in legislation.

Regulatory Inspections, Judicial and Extra-judicial Proceedings

- Supervise external advisors handling litigation and extrajudicial debt collection matters.
- Manage inspections and audits by authorities in labor, civil protection, tax, and other regulatory matters.

Policies & Procedures

- Review internal policies, procedures, guidelines, manuals, and templates related to human resources, finance processes, logistics, and other functions.
- Implement relevant legal reforms and regulatory changes.
- Provide legal advice and support.

Legal Risk Management & Compliance

- Identify and assess legal, regulatory, and compliance risks across business activities.
- Develop mitigation plans and drive implementation with business stakeholders.
- Partner with compliance, regulatory, internal audit, HR, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Support investigations, audits, compliance reviews, and remediation activities.
- Provide training and guidance to business partners on legal and compliance requirements.

Experience

- 5+ years of legal experience, combining private practice and/or in-house counsel experience.
- Leadership and stakeholder management experience, including coaching business leaders, managing local and external stakeholders, and advising senior management.
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking while supporting business functions in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Experience independently managing complex contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Experience in FMCG, food and beverage, manufacturing, retail, consumer products, or multinational environments.
