Bob Johnson Cadillac is looking for an experienced General Motors Flat-Rate Technician who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to be part of a strong, team-oriented culture.

Required Experience
- At least two years of experience as a General Motors flat-rate technician
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac vehicles
- A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and completing repairs correctly
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
GM certifications, completed GM assessments, and ASE certifications are valuable but are not required. What matters most is proven GM dealership experience and being the right fit for our culture.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair GM vehicles according to manufacturer procedures
- Perform maintenance, electrical, drivability, mechanical, and warranty repairs
- Complete accurate inspections and technician videos
- Document findings and repairs clearly
- Maintain productivity while protecting repair quality
- Communicate effectively with advisors, parts, dispatch, and fellow technicians
- Help prevent comebacks by taking ownership of every repair
- Support teammates and contribute to a clean, safe, and professional shop
- Treat every customers vehicle with care and respect
Schedule
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Saturday rotation required at least once every two months
- Flat-rate position
Compensation
- Competitive flat-rate pay based on experience and qualifications
- $5,000 annual bonus for flat-rate technicians
- Pay rate discussed during the interview
The offered flat rate will be based on:
- GM dealership experience
- Skill and diagnostic ability
- ASE certifications
- Completed GM training and assessments
ASEs and completed assessments can positively affect the offered rate, but neither is required to be considered.
