Job Description:

SCOPE : Provides strategic and operational leadership for Facilities Operations across Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center's 24 locations. Responsible for ensuring facilities are safe, functional, compliant, reliable, and well-maintained in support of patient care, clinical operations, employees, physicians, and visitors. Directs the operation and maintenance of facilities, building systems, utilities, infrastructure, grounds, life-safety systems, preventive and corrective maintenance programs, work order management, facility inspections, regulatory readiness, emergency response, vendor performance, and assigned facility support services. Establishes consistent facilities operating standards, processes, service expectations, and performance measures across the organization. Oversees the Facilities Operations team and develop a proactive, service-oriented culture focused on reliability, responsiveness, safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement. Monitors facility condition and operational performance, identifies recurring maintenance and infrastructure issues, and develop strategies to address facility risks and long-term operational needs. Partners with the Senior Director of Facilities, Procurement, Finance, clinical and operational leadership, IT, Quality, Safety, Infection Prevention, and external service providers to align facilities operations with organizational priorities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive facilities, engineering, maintenance, construction, or building operations experience.

Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience

Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM). Certified Facility Manager (CFM).

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Experience managing multiple facilities or geographically distributed operations.

Demonstrated experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, and facility maintenance programs.

Strong understanding of building systems, preventive maintenance, life-safety systems, and facility operations.

Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Experience managing ambulatory healthcare facilities or medical office buildings.
