The Opportunity
As part of the AI Governance team within the Digital Assurance & Technology team, you will drive the strategic direction and delivery of AI governance initiatives by leveraging innovative methodologies and leading-edge technology resources. As a Director, you will lead complex, enterprise-level engagements to assess and strengthen governance, risk, and control programs, while advising senior stakeholders and building trusted client relationships. You will also develop and mentor high-performing teams, helping shape the next generation of AI governance talent. This role offers the opportunity to operate at the forefront of emerging technologies, advancing compliant, transparent, and responsible AI practices.
As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts, making impactful decisions and overseeing multiple projects while maintaining executive-level client relations. You are expected to be a guardian of PwC's reputation, understanding that quality, integrity, inclusion, and a commercial mindset are foundational to our success. Responsibilities
- Leading the development and implementation of governance frameworks to manage risk and compliance effectively
- Overseeing client engagements to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and enhance internal controls
- Driving business growth by identifying market opportunities and converting them into successful outcomes
- Mentoring and guiding the next generation of leaders within the organization
- Promoting technological advancements to create an environment where people and technology thrive together
- Developing innovative solutions and structures to address client needs and drive thought leadership
- Balancing strategic decision-making with detailed analysis to drive change and address system-level enablers
- Confirming adherence to professional and technical standards, including the firm's code of conduct and independence requirements
- Collaborating across the PwC Network to maximize client satisfaction and scale efficiencies
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of experience
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Project/Technology Management
- Applying experience in AI/ML governance, risk, controls, audit, testing, and validation, including awareness of AI lifecycles and leading risk frameworks such as NIST and ISO
- Supporting the design and assessment of AI governance models, policies, standards, and control programs, while translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrating proficiency in risk governance and compliance strategies
- Leading strategic initiatives to drive technological advancements
- Cultivating executive-level client relationships and business growth
- Translating complex visions into actionable business strategies
- Mentoring emerging leaders and fostering a collaborative environment
- Identifying market opportunities and converting them into successes

The salary range for this position is: $134,000 - $348,500. For residents of Washington state the salary range for this position is: $134,000 - $410,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
