Position Summary
The Vice President of Administration serves as a key business leader responsible for leading and advancing several critical corporate functions, including Accounting, Treasury, Insurance & Risk Management, Technology and Marketing. This role's primary responsibility is not to be the technical expert in each discipline, but rather to provide exceptional leadership, direction, accountability and strategic alignment across all areas while bringing enough experience and working knowledge in each function to ask the right questions, evaluate priorities and support effective decision-making.
The VP, Administration develops strong leaders, holds teams accountable to results, establishes clear priorities and ensures each function has the resources, processes and support necessary to continuously improve and scale with the organization. The ideal candidate is a highly effective people leader with a broad business background, capable of understanding the fundamentals of each area while empowering subject matter experts to execute at the highest level.
This position serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and plays a critical role in driving organizational performance, operational excellence and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership, Management & Accountability
- Lead, manage and hold accountable the leaders of Accounting, Treasury, Insurance & Risk, Technology and Marketing.
- Establish clear expectations, performance standards, priorities, and measurable outcomes for each department.
- Coach, mentor and develop departmental leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities and succession depth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and results.
- Ensure alignment of departmental goals with organizational vision, strategic priorities and annual objectives.
- Drive execution of key initiatives and resolve cross-functional issues that impact business performance.
Strategic Planning & Organizational Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute organizational strategy.
- Translate company objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes across functional areas.
- Monitor organizational performance and provide insights to support sound business decisions.
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic review processes within assigned functions.
- Champion initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability and operational effectiveness.
Financial Oversight
- Provide executive oversight for accounting, treasury management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
- Ensure financial processes support organizational growth while maintaining appropriate stewardship and compliance.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators and partner with finance leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and performance insights.
Risk Management, Insurance & Compliance
- Oversee the organization's risk management and insurance programs.
- Ensure appropriate controls, policies and compliance practices are maintained.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate enterprise risks and protect organizational assets.
- Monitor regulatory, contractual and operational risks across the business.
Technology & Business Enablement
- Provide strategic direction and executive oversight for technology initiatives, systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity and business applications.
- Ensure technology investments align with business objectives and operational needs.
- Support the adoption of innovative and AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency, reporting, collaboration and customer experience.
- Champion digital transformation and process improvement initiatives across the organization.
Marketing Leadership
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the marketing function.
- Ensure brand consistency, market positioning and communication strategies align with company objectives.
- Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive awareness, business development, customer engagement and revenue growth.
- Partner with marketing leadership to establish measurable goals and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with responsibility for multiple business functions.
- Demonstrated success leading leaders and managing high-performing teams.
- Experience overseeing or partnering closely with finance, operations, technology, marketing, risk management, or other corporate service functions.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and evaluate multiple disciplines.
Preferred Experience
- Executive or senior leadership experience within a multi-functional organization.
- Experience leading organizational change, strategic planning and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience operating within an EOS® or similar accountability-based management framework.
