General Description/Primary Purpose:
The School of Nursing is seeking to appoint a non-tenure earning, Visiting Instructor of Nursing. This visiting faculty position will support the development and expansion of programs in a growing prelicensure BSN program. Position responsibilities include teaching in areas of expertise, supervising students in clinical settings, and participating in School, College, or University committees. Areas of teaching may include Psychiatric-Mental Health, Adult Health, Pediatrics, Community Health, Women's Health and Obstetrics, Research, and Leadership.
Supervisor : This position will report to the School of Nursing Director, Dr. Lindsay Wolf.
Working Hours: Varies; includes clinical supervision, which may involve variable shifts at least once weekly.
Supervision Exercised: Clinical supervision
Required Licensure: Unencumbered license as an RN/APRN in Florida, or eligibility for endorsement for a Florida nursing license.
Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on December 16, 2026.
Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN); unencumbered license as an RN/APRN in Florida, or eligibility for endorsement for a Florida nursing license; recent clinical practice as an RN/APRN; and a minimum of five years of clinical experience as an RN/APRN.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills: Prior experience as an academic or clinical nurse educator. Teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Psychiatric-Mental Health, Adult Health, Pediatrics, Community Health, Women's Health and Obstetrics, Research, or Leadership.

Application Review Date: Initial review of applications will begin on 10/05/2026. This appointment is for the Spring and Summer of 2027, with an anticipated start date of December 16, 2026, and an end date of July 30, 2027. The annual compensation for this position will be prorated based on the two semesters of work. A reappointment for a visiting instructional appointment beyond July 30, 2027, is at the discretion of the department Chair.
