About this role

Position Overview The Time Critical Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring expedited, time-sensitive shipments from initial order entry through final delivery. This individual will manage shipment milestones, provide continuous tracking updates, communicate with customers and carriers, and quickly escalate any issues that could impact on-time delivery. The environment is fast-paced and highly customer-focused, requiring someone who is comfortable managing multiple shipments, phone calls, emails, and operational tasks simultaneously. Main Responsibilities

- Coordinate expedited/time-critical shipments from order entry through final delivery
- Track and trace active shipments
- Monitor shipment milestones and update statuses
- Ensure new orders and shipment updates are addressed quickly
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and service issues
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, internal teams, and leadership
- Identify and immediately escalate shipment delays, errors, and operational issues
- Follow established SOPs and shipment-management procedures
- Maintain accurate shipment documentation
- Communicate unresolved or high-priority issues between shifts
- Manage a high volume of emails, phone calls, tasks, and shipment updates
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle
- Participate in training, team meetings, and process updates

Must-Have Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong computer skills
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to prioritize urgent tasks and quickly respond to changing situations
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
