About this role

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced, strategic, and technically fluent Analyst Relations (AR) Manager to lead its AI Governance AR program. This Principal-level (L7) role will develop, manage, and execute the global AR strategy for AI governance — encompassing responsible AI, AI safety, model risk management, AI transparency, regulatory compliance, and trustworthy AI frameworks — one of the most consequential and rapidly evolving domains in enterprise technology.

As AI adoption accelerates across every industry, enterprises and governments are grappling with how to deploy AI responsibly at scale. Questions around model explainability, bias detection, audit trails, regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001), and organizational governance frameworks are top of mind for every CIO, CISO, and Chief AI Officer. Thousands of analysts worldwide are advising their clients on how to evaluate, implement, and govern AI systems responsibly. This role will serve as the strategic architect of how the analyst community perceives and positions AWS’s AI governance capabilities — from Amazon Bedrock Guardrails and SageMaker Model Monitor to AWS’s broader responsible AI principles and tooling.

The ideal candidate possesses deep analyst relations experience combined with substantive knowledge of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, model lifecycle management, and the evolving global regulatory landscape for AI. They must have a track record of operating with complete independence, influencing VP-level and senior leadership, and driving significantly complex multi-year initiatives with broad cross-organizational impact. They will develop evidence-based strategies to shape how analysts evaluate AWS’s AI governance posture, synthesize competitive intelligence from multiple firms and research sources, and align cross-functional teams — spanning product, policy, legal, engineering, and marketing — toward coherent AI governance positioning. This person thrives in ambiguity, drives clarity where none exists, and builds scalable mechanisms that others adopt.

This position is full-time and will be located in an Amazon/AWS corporate office in Seattle, WA or San Francisco/Bay Area, CA.
