Your Role at Baxter

As the Global Director, Warehouse Automation, you will play a critical leadership role within Baxter's Global Fulfillment organization, shaping and executing our worldwide warehouse automation strategy. This leader will define the future state of warehouse automation across Baxter's distribution network, ensuring we deliver lifesaving and sustaining products efficiently, reliably, and cost effectively to patients and healthcare providers around the world.

Working closely with global and regional fulfillment leaders, you will establish warehouse design principles, drive automation innovation, and lead large-scale transformation initiatives that improve operational performance, service levels, and long-term business value. This is a highly visible role requiring a combination of strategic vision, operational expertise, and strong cross-functional leadership.

What You'll Be Doing

- Develop and lead Baxter's global warehouse automation strategy, aligning automation initiatives with fulfillment and business objectives.
- Establish and maintain global warehouse design principles, standards, and best practices across the distribution network.
- Lead large-scale warehouse automation and digitization programs, including capital investments ranging from approximately $20M to $30M.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and execute automation initiatives while ensuring strong governance and stakeholder alignment.
- Evaluate and implement automation technologies, equipment, and system solutions that improve safety, efficiency, throughput, and cost performance.
- Drive standardization of automation solutions and best practices across fulfillment operations globally.
- Build compelling business cases and investment strategies to support automation and network transformation opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, service levels, operational excellence, and profitability.
- Influence organizational change and adoption of new technologies through effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in warehouse automation, emerging technologies, and fulfillment innovation.

What You'll Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience leading warehouse automation, distribution center design, or supply chain transformation initiatives within a global organization.
- Proven success managing large, complex capital projects involving warehouse automation, mechanization, and digital technologies.
- Deep expertise in warehouse operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), automation technologies, material handling systems, and distribution center best practices.
- Strong understanding of fulfillment and supply chain performance drivers, including service, cost, productivity, quality, and inventory optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across multiple functions, regions, and levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging senior executives.
- Track record of building business cases, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering measurable operational results.
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful change.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs through both direct and indirect teams in a global environment.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000 - $220,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
