About this role
Centric is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead our residential construction work and serve as our primary project management partner to homeowners.
This is a key role for someone who has built a strong career in high-end custom residential construction and is ready to take real ownership of the PM function. We need someone who can step in, earn trust quickly, and become our go-to person for residential project management ; someone homeowners, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams can rely on to lead the project, communicate clearly, and drive decisions forward.
The ideal candidate will bring a tenured background building high-end custom homes , including experience managing residential projects valued at $2M or more. This person will own the financial and operational success of assigned projects while also serving as a trusted partner to homeowners throughout the construction process.
What You’ll Own
- Lead high-end residential projects from preconstruction and start-up through construction and closeout.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners and build trusted relationships through clear, proactive communication.
- Own project budgets, forecasting, contracts, procurement, schedule, and overall financial performance.
- Partner closely with the Superintendent to keep field execution aligned with project expectations.
- Coordinate with homeowners, architects, and designers on selections, design decisions, changes, and constructability issues.
- Anticipate risks and resolve challenges before they negatively affect cost, schedule, quality, or the homeowner experience.
- Hold subcontractors, vendors, and project partners accountable for their commitments.
- Take ownership of the residential PM function and help strengthen the systems, standards, and processes that support the work.
What We’re Looking For
- Tenured experience managing high-end custom residential construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading residential projects valued at two million dollars or more.
- Strong track record of successfully managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and homeowner relationships.
- Deep understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, materials, plans, specifications, and finish schedules.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing forecasts, commitments, contracts, and change management.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Sound judgment, accountability, and the confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently.
- A stable professional track record and interest in making a meaningful, long-term commitment to the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, project management, or equivalent industry experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
The Person Who Will Succeed Here
The right person will bring more than technical project management experience. We need someone who takes ownership, follows through, communicates directly, and stays engaged when projects get difficult.
Residential work can be highly personal for the client, so this person must be comfortable managing sensitive conversations, changing expectations, and complex decisions while still protecting the project’s budget, schedule, quality, and overall homeowner experience.
We’re looking for someone who wants to be our go-to for residential project management; a trusted leader who can own the work, represent Centric well with homeowners, and provide the consistency and leadership needed to grow this side of the business.
