Digital Loan Officer

Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid)

Fairway is seeking a Digital Loan Officer to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will work directly with homebuyers and referral partners to originate mortgage loans, guide borrowers through the lending process, and help deliver a positive customer experience from application through closing.

This hybrid position offers a combination of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about mortgage lending, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

- Originate residential mortgage loans by discussing loan options, taking applications, and gathering required documentation.
- Analyze borrower financial information to identify mortgage solutions that align with their goals.
- Guide borrowers through the loan process, answering questions and providing timely updates.
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other referral partners.
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business and achieve production goals.
- Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and other internal partners to move loans efficiently through the pipeline.
- Stay current on mortgage products, lending guidelines, programs, pricing, and industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable federal and state lending regulations, including SAFE Act requirements.
- Provide exceptional service to customers and business partners throughout the lending process.
- Participate in team initiatives and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Experience:

- At least 1 year of mortgage lending or related experience.
- Experience originating residential mortgage loans.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Understanding of mortgage lending processes, products, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of current loan programs, investor guidelines, and market trends.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with mortgage lending systems and technology tools.

Education & Licensing:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Active NMLS license preferred.
- Candidates without an active NMLS license must be willing and able to obtain required licensing upon hire.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position based at our corporate headquarters. Team members are expected to work both remotely and in-office as business needs require.
