The Ben Smith Agency is looking for a confident, motivated sales professional who wants to build a long-term career in insurance.

This is a performance-driven role where you’ll spend your time connecting with prospects, following up on opportunities, building relationships, and closing new business. You’ll have access to agency leads, structured training, and ongoing coaching while developing your knowledge of the insurance industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Connect with prospective customers through leads, referrals, outbound calls, and follow-up
- Build rapport and uncover each customer’s needs and priorities
- Quote and sell Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products
- Manage an active pipeline and consistently follow up with prospects
- Work through questions and objections and confidently ask for the sale
- Identify cross-selling opportunities with new and existing customers
- Work toward individual production goals and agency growth targets
- Track sales activity and customer conversations
- Participate in ongoing coaching, training, and development

What We’re Looking For

- Previous sales experience strongly preferred
- Experience working toward measurable sales or performance goals
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable with frequent outbound calls and prospect follow-up
- Motivated by performance, earning potential, and results
- Persistent and able to move forward after hearing “no”
- Organized with strong follow-through
- Coachable and receptive to feedback
- Property & Casualty licensing preferred, or willingness to obtain the required license

Compensation
