Job Description

The IT Technical Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, facilitating, and implementing learning solutions using a variety of instructional techniques to train individuals on our current systems and new technology.  The primary audience is corporate employees, but occasionally others are incorporated (Franchisees, Vendors, etc.).  The Learning programs will adhere to company standards and processes to provide quality products, and efficient operations. This individual also serves as the administrator and content manager for the employee Learning Management System.  Provides excellent customer service to all customers while maintaining good working relationships with business units.

Accountabilities:

Instructional Design and Development of Learning Programs

- Collaborates with the Business and IT to review business processes and system functionality to determine training needs that are appropriate for the target audience.  Leads all aspects of design and development of materials using a variety of instructional techniques to transform complex processes and system functionality into professionally clear learning content through individual or in-person/virtual group environments.  Working with the Business, develops appropriate review/test questions and exercises to validate participant understanding and onboarding.  Obtains Product Owner approval of all content and makes revisions based on feedback.

Facilitation and Evaluation of the Learning Programs

- Working with the BA/PM team and the Communication group, develops notification to the business for coming releases, system deployments, and training sessions.  Works with the Business to schedule and facilitate the training of the appropriate business groups.  Monitors and leads stakeholder review sessions to evaluate learning programs, employee progress, and recommends methods for continuous improvement.  Working with BA/PM team and the Business, determines measures of success of the systems implementations and training and provides reports to management to show impact analysis of new systems.

Employee Learning Management System Administration and Support

- Serves as an administrator of the employee Learning Management System, including, but not limited to, uploading content (curriculum, tests, exercises, etc.), development of learning paths, and setup of periodic recurring training requirements.  Ensures that materials are maintained, up to date, and accurate on an annual basis.  Reviews, evaluates, and reports to management on LMS usage and provides recommendations for improvement.

The US national base salary range for this position is $82,090-$98,508.  The base salary range displayed reflects the targeted hiring range for positions across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, work location and relevant education or experience.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

- B.A. or B.S. Degree in Education, Communications, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must have 5 to 7 years of experience with curriculum development and training (in-person or virtual) including, but not limited to: Developing and redesigning face-to-face, fully online, and hybrid/blended courses using sound principles of instructional design and project management
- Designing and developing, delivering, and producing virtual instructor led learning through Skype, WebEx, LoopUp and other similar technologies.
- Experience working with common authoring tools and course development methodologies to develop and produce mobile and elearning content using various multimedia elements including video, text, audio, etc.
- Implementing and evaluating learning programs using LMS reports, Excel and PowerBI
- Developing and deploying mobile and elearning solutions.
- Expert use of Office 365 applications

- Must have 1-2 years of experience in technical writing including creating processes, technical documentation, and standards.
- Must have 1-2 years of experience in administering a learning management system.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills; ability to coach, influence, and develop others laterally and vertically including: Ability to interpret and explain information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to objectively receive feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, maintain positive working relationships, and consult effectively with leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral communication, writing and editing skills.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and customer service skills.

- Franchise and Restaurant knowledge is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

Most positions located out of our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN will work a hybrid work schedule where you will work 3 collaboration days a week.  Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs.
