About this role
The Director of the Virtuosity Program provides leadership, vision, and oversight for Summit Christian Academys extracurricular music instruction program. The Director is responsible for developing and maintaining a high-quality music education experience that supports the mission and values of Summit Christian Academy.
The Director oversees the daily operations of the Virtuosity Program, including teacher recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, student registration, student-teacher placement, communication, billing coordination, and program events. The Director works closely with Virtuosity teachers, students, families, school administration, faculty, and the Finance and Facilities departments to ensure the program operates effectively and professionally.
The Director is responsible for recruiting and supporting qualified music instructors, creating lesson schedules that appropriately consider the needs of students, families, and teachers, and ensuring that teachers have the resources and information necessary to provide excellent instruction.
The Director also leads the planning and development of Virtuosity recitals and performances, maintains program documentation and the Virtuosity Handbook, oversees program supplies and equipment needs, and develops promotional materials and communications designed to inform families and encourage participation in the program.
The Director will represent Virtuosity and Summit Christian Academy in a professional, positive, and Christ-centered manner while cultivating a welcoming environment in which students can develop their musical gifts and abilities.
Hours : Average of 12-15 hours per week

- Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission and values of Summit Christian Academy.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to lead, coordinate, and support a team of music instructors.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Possesses an appreciation for and understanding of music education and extracurricular music instruction.
- Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Previous experience in music education, music instruction, program coordination, administration, or a related field is preferred.
