About this role

Role Summary

Axtria is seeking a Director to lead Clinical Analytics & Consulting sales and client engagement for US pharmaceutical and biotech clients, spanning clinical data management, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled decision support. This role is business-development-first, requiring a strong industry network and a proven track record of selling clinical analytics and consulting services. Working knowledge of AI/GenAI is a baseline expectation for this role, with a particular emphasis on analytics and consulting rather than deep technology build. Ideal candidates also bring strong clinical domain depth and the credibility to speak knowledgeably about GenAI and Agentic AI's role across the clinical value chain.

Core Responsibilities

- Business Development & Sales: Drive new logo acquisition and account growth for clinical analytics and consulting services across pharmaceutical R&D clients in the US.
- Client Relationship Management: Build senior relationships at the VP/CxO level; expand Axtria's footprint through referrals and account growth.
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a primary consultant to clients on clinical data strategy, analytics-ready data provisioning, and AI/GenAI-enabled insights.
- Solution Oversight: Partner with technical teams to scope and price engagements spanning clinical data pipelines (EDC, CDMS, CTMS, LIMS, RIMS), CDISC/SDTM/HL7 standards, and analytics/AI use cases.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Axtria in industry forums and client discussions; contribute points of view on analytics and AI trends in clinical R&D.
- GTM & Capability Building: Partner with Axtria's India-based SME team to support proposal development, PoCs, and marketing collateral for analytics consulting offerings.
- Maintain high CSAT and NPS scores to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

- 15+ years in clinical analytics or consulting, including significant time in a client-facing sales/business development leadership capacity.
- Prior experience at a leading consulting or technology services firm required.
- Proven record of selling clinical analytics or consulting engagements to pharmaceutical or biotech clients.
- Strong working knowledge of the clinical domain — study design, clinical feasibility, clinical real-world evidence (RWE), study rescue, and clinical data repositories (CDR) — beyond a purely technical or SME lens.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Data Science, or a related field.
- Based in or willing to relocate to New Jersey; willing to travel to client sites as needed.

Key Skills & Knowledge Areas

- Working knowledge of GenAI and Agentic AI concepts as applied to clinical analytics — strategic fluency expected; deep hands-on technical build experience is not required for this role.
- Deep familiarity with clinical domain concepts: study design, clinical feasibility, clinical RWE, study rescue, CDR, and related clinical operations processes.
- Familiarity with clinical trial systems and standards: EDC, CDMS, CTMS, SCE, LIMS, RIMS, CDISC/SDTM, HL7/FHIR.
- Understanding of data governance, QA, audit readiness, and submission workflows for clinical trials and registries.
- Strategic thinking, solution scoping, and delivery oversight across cross-functional and onshore/offshore teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to clinical data (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).
