The Production Clerk supports manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate data entry, material handling, and adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Accurately enter production data into the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
* Prepare and organize production documents, including work orders, bills of material, and quality control forms.
* Assist with inventory management tasks such as receiving, stocking, and issuing materials to production lines.
* Monitor and track production progress, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or delays.
* Communicate effectively with production supervisors, team leads, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety guidelines.
* Perform quality checks on finished goods and components as required.
* Assist with packaging and labeling of products for shipment.
* Operate basic material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, if certified.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of experience in a production or administrative support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficient in data entry and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control principles is desirable.
