The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for daily warehousing functions, receiving products, accurately and efficiently pulling, packaging, crating, and processing orders for domestic and international shipment, including export documentation.

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

- Forklift experience required.

- Experienced in international shipping including export shipping documentation strongly preferred.

- Oracle EBS / WMS / Synapse / Rf Scanner experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of, warehouse equipment applications, material requirements and good inventory control practices.

- Ability to become forklift certified under the Company Forklift Certification Policy.

- Skilled in warehouse software/systems, inventory management systems, and using hand-held scanners.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual

- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

- Ability to work well under limited supervision.

- Microsoft knowledge or Word and Excel

- Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Works with and understand parts identification system, specialty codes and supplier quality codes

- Operates warehouse material handling equipment

- Responsible for paperwork traceability and lot heat/lot number traceability.

- Pulls and prepares products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is packaged
- Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking
- Completes and maintains a variety of measurements, reports, records, and documentation
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Sorts and palletizes finished product for shipment
- Prepare boxes and put together materials for shipping needs

- Assist with executing PSG-California’s export operational processes and procedures for international export shipping documentation

- Generate and review all functions of the export paperwork process, ensuring utmost accuracy for custom’s clearance in countries around the world

- Commercial Invoices (CI)

- Packing List

- Auditing and verifying the net and gross weights along with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)

- (EEI) filings to ensure we are within compliance

- Process UPS, FedEx and DHL

- Assists in the maintenance of appropriate recordkeeping and due diligence in accordance with all governing regulatory requirements

- Strives to improve departmental efficiencies and reduce costs through continuous improvement
- Works towards zero shipping/receiving errors
- Works within the Company Quality Management System
- Maintains a clean and safe warehouse and working environment
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with internal team and external suppliers/customers
- Must follow all safety procedures and use good judgment regarding safety.

- Participate actively in lean activities, including 5S and continuous improvement activities.

- Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Work overtime as required
- All other duties assigned

Except for driving, position is primarily non-sedentary. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to use hands regularly to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and equipment. The employee is required to both see and hear.  The employee must be able to walk, sit and stand. The employee regularly lifts to 50 lbs. and at times may lift to 90 lbs. with assistance. Will occasionally kneel and bend.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature, and the employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions. Individuals will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, exposure to chemicals and solvents in a controlled setting, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Hourly Rate : $29.00 USD Per Hour
