Job duties & Responsibilities:

- Check glass quality prior to glazing.
- Focus on putting glass on the product.
- Scan paperless station and install on glass.
- Measure glass replacement.
- Use hand tools to install sealed units into PVC windows in the required sequence specified by the supervisor.
- Identify and demonstrate the use of PPE required for the safe handling of glass.
- Focus on attention to detail to ensure precise glazing on the glass.
- Work with a glazing partner on your daily run of work.
- Follow company glazing standards.
- Report any deficiencies to your Cell &/or Team leader so that these issues can be resolved.
- Identify materials, welds, and other assembly workmanship that does not meet quality requirements, and report the defective material, welds, &/or workmanship to the Team Leader.
- Complete quality related documents in a timely manner.
- Complete Production related documents in a timely manner.
- Keep work area free from clutter, recycling waste, and removing all dust daily.
- Follow on site safe work practices – Fall Protection training, First Aid, WHMIS.
- Follow health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection. 
- Identify and demonstrate use of personal protective equipment. 
- Follow all injury prevention policies and procedures. 
- Report all activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment. 
Experience
- 2+ years’ experience glazing.
- Experience working with SDL on doors / windows.
- Residential and commercial glazing experience. .
- Proficient knowledge of using saws, cutting tools, and other hand tools. 
- Skilled with various methods of measurement and verification. 
- Comfortable with units of measure such as mm and inches (metric system). 
- Comfortable with computer applications used in the manufacturing process. 
- Knowledge of Lean and 6S at work.
- Experience working with diverse cultures and a varied workforce.

Other Requirements

- Clear criminal background check.

Working Conditions

- Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 lbs to 50 lbs.
- Work in a production facility.
- Repetitive movements and work.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis.
- Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery.
- Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise.
- Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands – able to work day &/or evening shift.
- Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
