In turn, we offer an award-winning environment that fosters a  people-first culture  with a high priority on your personal and professional growth.

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant in our Workday practice, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end Workday implementations as part of broader Human Capital Management (HCM) transformations. You will combine Workday functional expertise with strong consulting, client advisory, and delivery capabilities to help clients achieve measurable outcomes throughout their digital transformation journeys.

You will collaborate with cross-functional technology, data, integration, and change team members to design and deploy scalable Workday solutions aligned with client business objectives. This is a new role and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead functional workstreams on Workday implementation projects, owning full lifecycle delivery from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Build trusted relationships with client leaders and serve as a senior functional advisor, bringing structured recommendations, leading practices, and a clear point of view
- Plan and facilitate complex design workshops with senior stakeholders to elicit and prioritize requirements, challenge current-state processes, align stakeholders, and drive timely decisions
- Translate business requirements and process designs into scalable Workday configurations, documenting design decisions, assumptions, and impacts
- Manage workstream scope, priorities, deliverables, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies; provide concise status reporting and escalate with clear options and recommendations
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including integrations, data, reporting, security, testing, change management, and project management, to support an integrated solution
- Lead system and user acceptance testing activities, support defect triage and resolution, and maintain quality through disciplined review and validation
- Develop clear client-ready deliverables, including process designs, configuration workbooks, decision logs, test assets, training materials, and operational documentation
- Deliver knowledge transfer and training to client teams and system administrators, enabling sustainable adoption and effective post-go-live operations
- Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes, adoption, and operating effectiveness, and communicate insights to both functional and executive stakeholders
- Contribute to BDO’s Workday delivery methodology, tools, accelerators, and knowledge assets, while coaching junior consultants through feedback, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job development
- Support business development activities, including discovery conversations, solution design, effort estimation, proposal development, and presentations, as required

How do we define success for your role?

- You demonstrate BDO’s core values in all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration
- You earn client trust by understanding their industry, priorities, and challenges, and by delivering practical, high-quality advice and outcomes
- You lead your workstream with accountability, sound judgment, and transparent communication, meeting commitments and proactively managing delivery risks
- You facilitate effective decisions by simplifying complex topics, presenting options and trade-offs, and tailoring communication for functional, technical, and executive audiences
- You collaborate across disciplines, contribute to an inclusive and engaging work environment, and help develop and retain talent through coaching and knowledge sharing
- You identify opportunities to improve service delivery, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the Workday practice
- You actively adopt digital tools and innovative delivery approaches and continue to grow your Workday, consulting, and industry expertise through learning and professional development

Your experience and education

- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology or HCM transformations, including multiple full lifecycle implementations with progressive responsibility for functional delivery
- Active Workday certification in one or more of the following: HCM Core, Time Tracking, Absence, U.S. Payroll, Canadian Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Benefits, or Compensation
