Your Opportunity
As a Workday Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading solution design, architecture governance, and solution delivery oversight across Workday implementation, optimization, and transformation engagements. The Solution Architect serves as the bridge between business objectives and technical solutions, ensuring cohesive designs that deliver measurable value for clients while supporting the growth of BDO's Workday practice. This is a net new role and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Workday implementation, enhancement, and transformation engagements.
- Serve as the design authority across all project workstreams, ensuring solution decisions align with client objectives and leading practices.
- Facilitate solution design workshops and guide future-state business process design.
- Evaluate cross-functional impacts of solution decisions and ensure alignment across Workday modules, integrations, reporting, and data requirements.
- Provide executive-level guidance and recommendations on Workday capabilities, roadmap considerations, and transformation opportunities.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain solution governance processes throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Provide quality oversight across configuration, testing, data conversion, integrations, and deployment activities.
- Partner with project leadership to manage scope, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
- Ensure successful transition to support and knowledge transfer activities following deployment.
- Support business development activities including opportunity qualification, solutioning, estimates, proposals, and client presentations.
- Contribute to practice development initiatives, methodologies, accelerators, and thought leadership.
- Mentor consultants and emerging solution architects to strengthen the Workday practice.

- You deliver scalable, well-architected solutions spanning across platforms and technologies, aligned to business requirements and leading practices
- You contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment and actively support the growth of junior consultants
- You stay current with Workday releases, industry trends, and evolving HR best practices
Your experience and education
- 7+ years of Workday implementation, advisory, or solution architecture experience.
- Experience leading enterprise Workday HCM and/or Finance transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams.
- Demonstrated expertise in solution design, business process transformation, integrations, reporting, and data considerations.
- Experience leading client-facing engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to support sales pursuits, proposal development, and solutioning activities.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Active appropriate Workday certifications preferred.
- Consulting experience within a professional services organization considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
