About the Role:

The VP of Leasing is responsible for overseeing and executing a strategic leasing plan for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute leasing strategy for assigned properties in DLC’s portfolio
- Identify market trends and use data to inform leasing decisions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, including local tenants and national retailers, brokers, and internal teammates within all disciplines
- Negotiate LOI’s and lease terms for deals within assigned properties
- Partner with Legal department to ensure leases are drafted properly and executed timely
- Submit LPA’s in CRM for each fully negotiated LOI at properties
- Review/approve LPA’s for renewal/new deals submitted by Renewal Manager/internal Leasing Reps
- Manage and provide direction to internal Leasing Representatives and outside brokers on active and potential deals
- Conduct quarterly property visits/market tours with brokers/internal Leasing Reps to evaluate changes in the market and talk through strategy on lease-up of every vacancy
- Develop and manage property-level annual leasing budgets that align with overall property  strategy/business plan
- Review and analyze data and leasing market trends to optimize pricing strategies and lease structure
- Attend weekly property acquisition calls to provide updates on Leasing activity
- Conduct on-site and phone interviews with national retailers for tenant interviews during the due diligence process for acquisitions
- Participate in monthly calls with JV Partners to walk through leasing pipeline
- Conduct monthly renewals call with Renewal Manager, Head of Leasing and other VP’s of Leasing to coordinate upcoming action plan
- Coordinate with Property Management on resolving active issues to ensure assets are functioning in a first-class manner
- Coordinate with Property Management on GWO deals and inform them on timing of deal completion to begin their work
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal departments during acquisition process and when tenants are vacating a space

Technical Skills:
- 5-10 years of Leasing experience
- Extensive knowledge of retail leasing process, LOI and Lease terminology 
- An excellent track record of successfully negotiating leases with national retailers
- A deep understanding of the entire retail leasing process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel frequently, as required
 
The expected base salary range for this position is between $175,000 and $200,000 (plus variable compensation including commission and bonus). The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
