About this role
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provide legal advice and support on all legal aspects related to the operations of Group Treasury and the in-house bank, including intra-group financing, cash-pooling, and banking activities;
- Draft, review, and negotiate trading documentation, including ISDA Master Agreements and related schedules, protocols, annexes and Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), as well as foreign exchange agreements and banking terms and conditions;
- Negotiate documentation for OTC derivatives and other financial markets transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable ISDA standards and local legal requirements;
- Analyze and negotiate adhering contracts for multi-bank and single-bank trading platforms, trade repositories, and provision of investment services;
- Lead the legal workstream for Group Treasury’s Digital Assets Initiative, advising on the integration of regulated fiat-backed digital instruments, including stablecoins and tokenised deposits, into treasury operations. Assess use cases, establish governance and compliance frameworks, and ensure compliance with MiCA, DORA, and other applicable EU and Luxembourg requirements.
- Manage and coordinate KYC and AML due diligence processes with international banking partners.
- Manage LEI registrations and coordinate legal opinions for group entities;
- Oversee and manage delegations of authority within treasury operations;
- Analyze commercial contracts as part of treasury information systems projects and related IT/IS service contracts;
- Negotiate with external stakeholders, banks, and financial institutions;
- Retain, manage, and monitor external law firms and related costs in line with business needs;
- Support the effective and continuous implementation of Group Compliance policies;
- Stay up to date on regulatory and legal changes; Monitor regulatory developments in banking, financial markets, and treasury operations, including BRRD, EMIR, and related frameworks;
- Collaborate with other Legal team members and exchange best practices;
- Participate in working groups and contribute to building market practices in the area of banking and market activities;
- Protect and defend business interests in dispute resolution scenarios, including developing strategy and assessing settlement options.
Education:
Master’s degree in law (e.g., Finance, Banking, Corporate, and Contract Law); Bar membership would be an asset.
Familiarity with data protection regulations, including GDPR, as applied to financial operations is desirable.

Work experience requirements :
You have obtained relevant experience of a minimum of 8 years in an international law firm, as in-house counsel, and/or in a financial institution.
The position requires strong experience in banking and treasury-related financings, including derivatives documentation, intra-group lending, and regulatory compliance.
You have contributed to significant banking and treasury transactions, such as syndicated facilities, cross-border financings, or complex derivatives structures.
You are a recognized expert with strong knowledge of finance, banking, corporate, and contract law.
Beyond theoretical legal knowledge, you have a special ability to understand the business, technical, and financial aspects of treasury and in-house banking operations.
Languages:
Fluent in English and French, fluency in other languages is an asset.
