Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Logistics, the incumbent is responsible for processing both inbound and outbound shipments as well as engaging in ethical receiving and shipping responsibilities of both Domestic and International shipping methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a group through one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and feedback.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals to ensure alignment with team objectives and organizational priorities.
- Interview, onboard, and lead the training of new team members, including instruction on ITAR, EAR, US export control regulations, NGC Ryder requirements, and shipping and receiving procedures
- Responsible for planning, creating, implementing, and managing the Logistics processes to ensure compliance to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Serve as the point of contact for ITAR questions, requirements, and/or audits.
- Update our internal procedure to ensure compliance with NGC's Ryder requirements and instructions.
- Monitor and manage Receiving Alert Reports, tracking receiving discrepancies, documenting line-item issues, and coordinating resolution efforts to meet departmental goals
- Assist with tariff calculations by reviewing product classifications, applicable duty rates, and import-related charges to support cost analysis and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with trade and export compliance activities, including preparing USMCA Certificates of Origin and other trade documentation, reviewing shipping records, supporting export control requirements, and ensuring compliance with applicable import/export regulation
- Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve customs holds, provide required documentation, and facilitate the timely clearance of import and export shipments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to trade compliance, receiving discrepancies, and shipment status.
- Manage and prioritize customer orders through the Priority Score Queue and Inventory to Ship process to ensure efficient inventory allocation and on-time order fulfillment.
- Provide cross-functional support to Sales, Purchasing, Quality, Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, and Accounting departments to resolve operational issues and support business objectives.
- Manage vendor and carrier relationships to ensure efficient procurement, reliable transportation services, and timely resolution of operational issues.
- Maintain inventory of QA lab and warehouse supplies, ensuring continuous availability to support daily operations
Shipping:
- Prepare, review, and/or submit export license applications and related filings, including ITAR Technical Assistance Agreements, EAR License applications, and/or related forms.
- Prepare, document, process, and package NGC's Ryder orders (bookings) in accordance with NGC's Ryder requirements and instructions.
- Prepare and verify shipping and export documentation, process shipping labels, maintain shipment records, validate Schedule B and ECCN classifications, and support AES submissions to ensure accurate and compliant domestic and international shipments.
- Process and verify credit card transactions, ensuring payment authorization and clearance prior to order shipment.

Education
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Experience
Required:
- At least one (1) year supervisory or team lead experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field
- At least two (2) years of experience of domestic shipping using FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping vendors.
- At least two (2) years of experience of international shipping. Strong understanding of export compliance, including Schedule B and ECCN classification.
- Strong understanding of U.S. export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR).
Preferred:
- Export compliance training or certification with ITAR preferred
Language Skills
Able to communicate clearly in English, verbally and through written form to a diverse group of people.
