The Opportunity
As a dedicated Investment Analyst II , within established guidelines and frameworks, provides analytical and operational support to the investment management process. Conducts research and statistical analysis of investment portfolios, asset allocation modeling, and benchmarking to support enterprise investment portfolios. Contributes to enterprise forecasting, planning, and reporting processes through research and statistical analysis. Gathers data for the development of investment management reports and presentations. Supports Second Line of Defense (SLOD) and Third Line of Defense (TLOD) data requests related to investment management activities, including audits. Assists with risk and control inventory management, control testing, and the development and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensures all analyses and reports are completed and delivered in a timely manner to meet stakeholder needs.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, or Plano, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Conduct research and statistical analysis of USAA investment portfolios.
- Completes ad hoc and recurring analysis, research market trends and compiles data.
- Prepares ad hoc reporting as required by internal or external stakeholders and reconcile results consistent with fund/or strategy objectives.
- Supports client relationships and assists in business development.
- Develops an understanding of the fixed income, alternatives, and equity asset classes and shares knowledge with operations teams.
- Stays informed of industry initiatives and trends that may impact portfolio analytics.
- Seeks guidance from team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
- Up to 2 years in financial analysis.
- Developing knowledge and experience within the investment industry or related financial services industry required.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance laws and regulations.
- Developing knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.
What sets you apart:
- US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.
- Prior use of investment analytic tools such as Bloomberg or Aladdin.
- Financial and/or investment analysis experience.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $69,920 - $133,620 .

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
