We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused PV Technician to join our operations team at the Aldoga Solar Farm near Gladstone. Working within a highly skilled maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation and performance of one of our renewable energy assets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the solar farm and associated balance-of-plant infrastructure. You will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the facility while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar farm infrastructure and equipment.
- Inspect, maintain and repair PV systems, inverters, battery storage systems, substations and associated balance-of-plant assets.
- Conduct HV and substation inspections, repairs and switching operations.
- Support commissioning, testing, fault finding and operational activities.
- Monitor, supervise and audit contractor works to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Accurately record maintenance activities using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including Maximo and HSEQ platforms.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical investigations.
- Maintain site vehicles, tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Participate in an on-call roster supporting a 24/7 operating environment.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Trade qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or a related discipline.
- A current Queensland "A Grade" Electrical Licence or the ability to obtain one (highly desirable for electrical trades).
- Minimum 3-5 years post-trade experience.
- Experience performing maintenance in industrial, energy, utilities, mining or renewable energy environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Sound computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Current manual driver's licence.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and promoting a positive safety culture.
- Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.

Desirable Qualifications

- First Aid certification.
- Working at Heights certification.
- HV Switching or HV Operator experience.
- Experience with solar, battery storage, substation or renewable energy assets.
