Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Semi Finance Team is looking for a highly motivated senior financial analyst to support Solution Engineering Group (SEG) within the Semiconductor Test Division.

As a key financial business partner, the senior financial analyst will lead cross functional discussions to drive business performance.

Own the planning and analysis cycle for the Japan, Korea, and Singapore regions, partnering with functional leaders on the strategic mid-term plan and quarterly rolling forecast, with full accountability for the accuracy and integrity of regional numbers submitted

- Analyze quarterly and annual close for the region: monitor quarter-end results, prepare and review journal entries with a high degree of accounting rigor to ensure revenue and expenses are recorded properly and in accordance with GAAP

- Prepare the internal regional reporting package for Japan, Korea, and Singapore, including detailed variance analysis; consolidate and analyze Asia results for the Asia SEG Director, tracing variances back through the underlying FP&A analysis flow downs to their root drivers at the account level

Business Partnering & Commercial Support

- Serve as the financial business partner for the Japan/Korea/Singapore region, providing detailed data analysis and decision-support dashboards built on accurate, well-reconciled data

- Represent regional financials in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring decisions made for Japan, Korea, and Singapore are grounded in a precise understanding of the underlying accounting and analysis

- Support functional Japan, Korea, and Singapore managers on project management, asset management, and SEG resource utilization, with close attention to accounting treatment and cost accuracy

Financial Leads and Support

- Lead the SEG region revenue recognition control project, ensuring rigorous compliance with company policy and GAAP requirements across the region

- Lead the SEG global TUSE project, establishing consistent, regular controls for accounts accuracy, risk mitigation, and asset completeness, with a focus on improving asset utilization and cost efficiency

- Support the finance manager on continuous alignment, optimization, training, and performance measurement initiatives

- Identify and drive opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy through automation of reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes

- Perform ad-hoc analysis and accounting tasks as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Strong accounting foundation with demonstrated attention to detail; comfortable owning the accuracy of financial results for an assigned business region end-to-end

- Solid understanding of FP&A analysis flowdowns — able to trace regional variances and reporting outputs back to their underlying accounting and transactional drivers

- Prior experience working with tight deadlines and demonstrated individual accountability for the accuracy and timeliness of work performed

- A team player who works effectively cross-functionally while maintaining ownership of regional deliverables

- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to convey information to all levels of the organization clearly, concisely, and with precision

- Experience with Microsoft Excel required

- Experience with Oracle, Business Objects, Power BI, and Adaptive preferred

- Strong process improvement focus, particularly around accounting controls and reporting accuracy

- A Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance or Accounting is required

- 5+ years of financial planning preferred

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Sharp financial or mathematical logical thinking ability
