Shape the Future of Digital Investigations
We are seeking an experienced Digital Forensics professional to join Deloitte’s Forensic Technology team, a specialist practice within our wider Forensic & Financial Crime offering.

Our team supports organisations facing some of their most complex challenges, including regulatory investigations, cyber incidents, litigation, employee misconduct matters, fraud investigations, data theft, and government inquiries. Working alongside leading forensic, cyber, legal, and investigation specialists, you will help clients uncover facts, preserve evidence, manage risk, and respond to critical events.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile engagements, build trusted client relationships, develop talented teams, and contribute to the growth of a market-leading forensic practice.

What will your typical day look like?
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of digital forensic engagements across a broad range of industries, including financial services, government, healthcare, infrastructure, telecommunications, and energy.
You will be expected to combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to manage client relationships and engagement teams.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading digital forensic investigations involving computers, mobile devices, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Advising clients, legal counsel, and regulators on digital evidence, preservation strategies, and investigative approaches.
• Managing complex investigations relating to fraud, misconduct, cyber incidents, insider threats, intellectual property theft, and regulatory matters.
• Supporting litigation, arbitration, regulatory responses, and major investigations through the delivery of defensible forensic services.
• Managing engagement economics, budgets, risk, quality, and delivery outcomes.
• Building and maintaining senior client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams across digital forensics, eDiscovery, cyber, analytics, and investigative services.
• Developing proposals, participating in pursuits, and supporting business development activities.
• Coaching and mentoring team members to build capability and foster career development.
• Contributing to thought leadership, market initiatives, and service innovation.

You are an experienced forensic technology professional who thrives in a consulting environment and enjoys solving complex client problems.
You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
• Significant experience in digital forensics, forensic technology, investigations, cyber investigations, incident response, or eDiscovery.
• Experience leading client engagements and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical knowledge across forensic acquisition, preservation, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience working with external legal counsel, regulators, law enforcement agencies, or corporate investigation teams.
• A strong understanding of evidentiary principles, chain of custody, and defensible forensic processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Strong commercial acumen, experience managing budgets, commercial outcomes, and project delivery.
• A demonstrated ability to build client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Technical Experience
Experience with one or more of the following would be highly regarded:
• Cellebrite
• Magnet Axiom
• EnCase
• FTK
• X-Ways
• Nuix
• Relativity
• Microsoft Purview
Qualifications
• Degree in Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant industry certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, EnCE, CFCE, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting expert witness engagements or regulatory proceedings is highly desirable.
• Australian Government security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one, will be advantageous.
